Serwan Hoshyar (Sergio)
Academic/Artist
Australian of Italian/Kurdish origins. Lived most of his adolescent life in Rome where he continued his higher education and worked as a freelance artist.
As an art student, and during a combined 11 years of Art studies in three different art institutions since the mid 70s until late 80s, he worked as freelance artist and illustrator for the weekly supplement of The Daily American News. Then he was hired by UNEDI Encyclopedia as freelance artist, and later as Art Director for MARSHED International until 1990 where he moved to Australia.
Degrees;
High Diploma with honors: Institute of Fine Arts Baghdad.
Majored in Arts — BA. Academy of Fine Art, Rome.
Art History. Soc Sci & Philosophy - Independent Studies/Open University.
From 1999 he worked in different fields including Media & Graphic Design and where until 2010 he was employment with SAS media and Leone Group. as Senior Creative Director.

Serwan also signs some of his art works as ‘Sergio’. He have held many personal and collective exhibitions around the world from Europe and Middle East to East Asia and Oceania. During his long career, Serwan was awarded many different prizes
