 The History of Theatrical  Costume
March 14  2018 

For the first time, The American-Eurasian Art Foundation will be presenting a fantastic collection of original sketches of costumes and sets from elaborate Theatrical Costume designers of the 1930s, 40s, 50s and 60s of Eurasia. This particular group of costume designers works of art was from the special art collection of Impressionist artist and art collector Yuri Yurovsky. 

Yuri was a member of the art group and had very warm friendship bound with Great Masters and geniuses which included Tatiana Bruni, Anatoly Petritsky, Fedor Nirod and others well-known artists scenographers who created costumes and scenery for the Mariinsky Theater, Opera and Ballet, the Bolshoi Theater of Opera and Ballet, and the Kiev Opera.

Yuri collected this museum quality art work for over sixty years and this Exhibition will represent the important theater stage and costume designers recognizing the great value of their wonderful interpretations of the great classics of Opera and Ballet.

It is a privilege for The American-Eurasian Art Foundation to present such a large collection of the works of these special costume designers who made a major impact on Europe the America as well.
